Some thoughts on Suspense Thriller Movies |
|
The thing about suspense thriller movies is that they keep you thinking about what’s going to happen next. It’s the kind of movie that actually makes you think and perform some type of analysis and entertains you at the same time. A number of suspense thrillers are showed in the cinemas every year, some of them being rated positively, others, quite negatively. Those that get a good rating exhibit some form of originality in terms of plot and screenplay. Others that merely focus on visual effects and end up being horror films that are more gross than scary, usually get the bad reviews.
For the year 2009, some of the exceptional suspense thriller movies include The Last House on the Left, Taken and Ninja Assassin. Unlike other movies that usually get the suspense or thriller factor by introducing some weird or hideous creatures, these movies feature normal people with some kind of special abilities. In the film, The Last House on the Left, the protagonist is a young woman who is generally a good teenager, and specifically a good swimmer. She is at the brink of death when she escapes her murderers, who eventually find the way into her very own home.
Now the film Taken, is about another young woman, whose estrangement in a foreign country drives her father, Bryan (played by Liam Neeson) into following her all the way to Paris to get her back, even if it meant going against authorities and messing up with powerful syndicates. Here, Bryan is shown as a former special agent for the government whose strength, wit and determination lead him where he wants to be – with his daughter.
Finally,Ninja Assassin is the story of how raising an efficient ninja has gone all wrong. Raizo (played by Rain) experiences the painful physical and mental training of ninjas at a young age. As he excels in combat, he witnesses the death of the girl he so loves, and decides to defy the orders of his master. From being the hunter, Raizo becomes the one being hunted.
As you can see, suspense thriller movies have heroes, villains, and of course, interesting conflicts. You can also expect a lot of action, fighting and struggling in such movies. Watch them when you want to feel a little scared or thrilled, or maybe just plain thankful that your life isn’t as complicated as others could be.

A Bit About Suspense Movie |
|
There are many reasons why suspense movies are exciting to watch. The essential elements of action, drama and adventure are found in these movies where the lead actors and actresses usually find themselves facing a difficult situation they either need to solve or get out of. If you happen to be a big fan of suspense, you’ll know how to play detective with the characters as you try to guess just before the movie ends who’s guilty and who’s not, who’s good and who’s bad.
Some of the most popular suspense movies of all time include Jurassic Park, The Sixth Sense, Jaws, I Am Legend andGhost Busters. These movies, which made it big in the box office, noticeably used unusual plots that involved out-of-this-world creatures that had to be dealt with. Jurassic Park, for instance, features dinosaurs going out of control whereas Ghost Busters, as the name suggests, features ghosts meddling with people’s lives. When movie titles are suggestive of what movies are about, it helps people make a better judgment as to whether or not the movies would be appropriate for them to watch.
Of course, among the factors that make suspense movies such a hit are interesting plots or storylines, superb production, flawless graphics and visual effects, powerful audio effects, and of course, well-known and credible actors. While most of these movies are not for children, adults greatly enjoy these movies for they are known to involve a lot of budget and it is easy to see the director’s creativity in the movie. Couples too, are a popular fan of this type of movies, including groups of friends and families, as it encourages them to huddle together, and feel mixed emotions of fear, excitement and pleasure, even as the movie protagonists make their way to success. And yes, keep in mind that the best time to watch suspense is at night. |
